There is a reason these are inexpensive. While soft, they pilled after the initial washing, and the print faded as well.

The blankets are ok for the price, but are smaller than I expected. I have a hard time swaddling my newborn (7 and a half pounds) because it's not long enough and she quickly becomes undone. The Carter's receiving blankets are a better size for swaddling. But I guess if you just want a simple cloth to use, this would do the job.

Luvable Friends receiving blankets are great some feel softer than others but that is before washing. I love them.

These blankets are very soft and absorbent. They are the perfect size. We actually use them as an additional layer on top of our changing pad cover. They catch diaper accidents, but are also handy for a quick face wipe if spitup happens.

I bought this product to donate to a Maternal Health Initiative in Africa. The price was the best I could find and considering the climate in Africa the thickness of the blanket was appropriate. It is not something I would recommend for the fall and winter months in USA, but for summer months and warmer climates, it is perfect.
