Sponge all the way August 23, 2010 MLaw (Chicago, IL) This is my favorite bottle brush because it stands up and it has a sponge at the end, not bristles. I think this is one of the only brands with that combination. Brushes with only bristles at the tip make a big splashy mess. I can't seem to use them without liberally spraying everything within 6 feet when I wash the bottles.
Yeah, these brushes don't last forever. Neither do my kitchen sponges. I've been replacing these every 3 or 4 months. I think that's a decent lifespan for something that is used multiple times a day, every day. Go Dr. Brown.
Very Cool August 22, 2010 willshift It's just a run of the mill bottle brush but it is Dr. Brown's and me and my wife have everything Dr. Brown. I like the little suction cup stand that is used for holding the brush up right, very clean very sanitary. Would recommend it to others.
bad choice August 10, 2010 Cara (Virginia) As others have said, the wire stem is very flimsy. The sponge part is also made with very cheap material and did not hold up well at all. Overall a very poorly made product that only lasted a couple weeks.
Great brush August 7, 2010 R. Harris (Indianapolis, IN USA) I'm not sure why some reviewers experienced failure after a week or two. Mine has received hard use for more than nine months with twins, and it finally broke tonight. The sponge had begun to wear out anyway, so I'm satisfied that this is simply normal wear and tear. I was tempted to order the Munchkin brush as a replacement, because of the disparity in reviews, but after reading the negative reviews, I have to go with my own experience and reorder the same brush. I'm not sure how even an inferior brush could rust or break in two weeks, as indicated in some of the reviews, much less a product from this supplier. I have used Dr. Brown bottles as well, and I am generally pleased with the brand.
Bad design. Breaks in a month! June 2, 2010 M. Turner We are big fans of the Dr. Brown's bottles, but this brush has a fatal flaw. The stem is made of a very flexible wire which bends every which way when you clean. After a few weeks, the flex point becomes week from repeated bending and the brush just snaps. They need to revise the design to replace the wire stem. Buy the Munchkin brush. It's much better.
