Amazon.com Expressing breast milk from work takes a lot of time and dedication, so anything that will make the process easier is appreciated by moms. Storing milk in bottles takes up valuable freezer space and means that you have to keep purchasing more and more bottles to build up your stash of food for baby. These plastic breast milk storage bags come pre-sterilized, and are easy to carry around--as they're not much bigger than a travel pack of tissues. In fact, they come in a tissue-style dispenser, making them easy to access and store. Each bag stores up to 6 ounces, or 180 milliliters of milk, and seals tightly to preserve freshness. Bags lay flat in the freezer saving plenty of space for more milk or other foods. Milk transfers easily from bag to bottle with no spillage. A tab above the fill area lets you write the express date, volume of milk, and the name of your child (in case you are handing it off to a busy daycare provider for feedings) on the bag without worry that you may puncture and contaminate your milk with ink. For moms who have to temporarily store their milk in a busy office refrigerator, a tamper-evident safety seal on each bag informs you if someone has been in your supply. Each box includes 25 storage bags. --Cristina Vaamonde

The best bags for the best price on Amazon!! July 29, 2010 drmvk2000 (USA) The best breast milk storage bags out there!!They also go with Medela Breast Shields and unlike Medela bags that look so cheap and flimsy these bags are made of superior quality plastic that does not crack upon freezing and easy to squeeze the last drop of milk out of. My wife loves them and we keep ordering the 25-bag packs(available as a 3-pack) since they are the best deals for these bags.
akm July 19, 2010 akm These are much better than the Medela freezer bags. The double seal makes me feel much more secure. They also freeze thinner and therefore thaw faster than the Medela bags. You may have some waste freezing a full six ounces. Consider freezing some smaller amounts until you know how much your kiddo drinks. I freeze in these and do freeze some in approx 1 oz amounts in oxo ice cube trays and heavy duty freezer bags. This works well for us.
Great Storage July 8, 2010 PJ (California, USA) I have the Medela tubes for storage that work great. Now that baby is bigger and drinking more these storage bags work much better. They store more milk, use up less space, and are easier to defrost. I haven't had any problems with leaks. No regrets getting these bags!
Don't leak as bad as some reviews suggest June 27, 2010 Toy Reviewer 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was worried when I read the reviews on these bags AFTER freezing milk in 50 of them. I think all plastic bags leak a little when thawed, but we haven't lost any significant amt of milk. We thaw in the fridge and transfer to bottles/liners for daycare. I do send the "spare" frozen milk to daycare in containers just to be safe for them, but that only involves owning 3-4 containers. However, who can afford to own 75 containers for milk to be frozen in? Not me.
Had to thaw one at home quickly this week, and it thawed in hot water in less than 5min with no leaking noticed.
Haven't tried using the bags as actual bottle liners in my Playtex nursers, but that sure would save a lot of plastic!
No leaks.....yet June 23, 2010 Andy 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My wife read a lot of reviews and came to these bags. She used all the advice she got online to store her breastmilk.
First she would never put more than 5 ounces in a bag. She actually think putting less would be better because if you put in 5 ounces and lay it flat, it kinda slopes so it's harder to stack the next bag on top after it is frozen.
Second she freeze them flat and then stack them in plastic take out containers. You need a lot of these but I wouldn't run out and buy any. We have them from takeout food (mainly chinese) and have just washed them. Now she has moved onto double bagging zip lock bags. She hasn't defrosted a whole lot from that batch, so she hopes they don't leak.
Third, Use a sharpie black pen to write on the ends, it works the best vs using a pen.
Fourth, she uses a long cup to help her keep the bag up when she is pouring the milk out of her bottles from pumping.
They defrost fast which is a plus for us but it does get to be a pain to see the labels when you put them in storage containers. She's used the Medela bottles which are even better but when she starts pumping more milk you need to move to bags. We also got the Medela bags from the hospital which she hates because they don't store as much and then they are really awkward for her to use. I watched her struggle to tape them to her pump and then she was stressed out that it would fall apart while she was pumping. The subscription is perfect so she's not constantly worried about running out. The double zip feature is great for extra security and the bags are supposedly thicker and best of all BPA free!
