It's so lightweight even your child can carry it. View larger. | Safe, Comfortable Bedtime on the Go The PeaPod P201 is a lightweight sleeping tent, which comes with an inflatable air mattress to keep your child's bedtime comfortable. An air pump is included. The mattress fits snugly inside the sleeping tent "pod," which features a wraparound mesh canopy with a wide, zippered opening to give parents quick and easy access, or to allow an older child to crawl in and out easily. Your child can nap in comfort outdoors, thanks to the canopy's UV protection and to a wide windscreen. The pod also includes a washable sleeping bag that can double as a sleeping pad. Travel Light The last thing you need while you're traveling with a baby or young child is to lug a lot of extra luggage around. Rather than packing a Pack'n'Play or a folding bassinet, which are cumbersome and heavy, simply pack the ultra-light, super-compact PeaPod away in your suitcase. At 19 x 6.5 x 19 inches (LxWxH) when closed, it takes up little space, and it comes with a carrying case for easy portability. And at 52.5 x 34 x 25 inches (LxWxH) when open, the PeaPod will take up little space once you reach your destination. The PeaPod is also designed to open and fold shut quickly and easily. Other than the included air pump for quickly inflating the small mattress, no tools are needed: simply follow the directions to "snap" it into its standing position, and fold it back down quickly when finished. So whether you're traveling across the country, making a weekend trip to the beach, or simply spending the day at a friend's house, the PeaPod Portable Travel Bed makes it super-easy and convenient for baby to sleep comfortably and safely while on the go.

Excellent Travel Solution September 7, 2010 T. Twist (Sacramento, CA) Really compact and portable, baby sleeps well in hotel rooms (and not in our bed, so I can get some sleep too!) Sleeping bag is lined with cotton so there is no rustling sound at night. The tent keeps drafts off her, another problem with trying to set up a bed of blankets on the floor. It is really compact and assembles quickly, no problems inflating mattress or anything. The only tricky part is the final twist while folding it back up. Takes a little practice. Great product!
BEST BABY PRODUCT WE HAVE September 1, 2010 newmom My husband and I love the peapod plus. We have been using it for 4 months now since our son was born. We use it several times a week and both think it is the best baby product we have. I registered for it because a friend suggested I do; I had never even heard of it before. And when I received it, I thought, "Oh, that's nice. I guess we'll use it some." Boy was I wrong, this thing rocks! We use it all the time. We have done a lot of traveling in the last few months to visit the grandparents, vacation, out of town weddings, camping (we put the peapod up inside our tent) and the peapod is so easy to transport. It is lightweight and so easy to set up. I have a playyard, which maybe i will eventually use as a playpen for short spurts when I need him contained, but it is heavy and makes me feel weak and stupid when I try to fold it up. The most difficult part in setting up and packing up the peapod is the air mattress, which only really takes a few minutes even if you blow it up by mouth (a hand pump is included). So we use it as a travel bed and have also used it for going to the local pool or to the lake, where we all swim for a little bit and then the baby can play in the peapod's shade and then take a nap. I love that it keeps him in the shade and keeps the bugs out. My husband and I play soccer with friends once a week and we bring the peapod along, and put the BrightStarts Playplace in it (another great product), and the baby is entertained for quite a while so we can both play for longer chunks of time. We leave the peapod in the trunk so we have it handy; I can just pop it up at a friend's house if we will be there during his nap. I can't say enough great things about it.
Do a test run before you travel. August 24, 2010 Karen Baker (Brooklyn, NY United States) This tent is a very good solution for a child who can climb out of a pack n play but isn't ready to stay put in a real bed. The frame on ours is skewed a tiny bit after just one folding, but not a huge amount. It's not tiny when folded, but is much MUCH smaller and easier than a pack n play. I unzipped the sleeping bag and used half of it as a mattress pad and put a crib sheet from home over the whole thing. This seems to be comfy for him.
Let your child try it out at home though, because the mattress and sides make noise when they roll over. I let my son play in it, which he loved, but I made the mistake of not doing at least one nap or night in it before our trip. After a long day of traveling, my son was not so pleased to find himself in an odd bed that makes rumpley sounds the first night... but the second night was much better, and his nap today was fine.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase and think I should get at least a couple of good years out of it.
Great Travel Tent for the baby August 20, 2010 BRIAN (Parker, CO) The idiots that said they could not fold the tent are not vey bright. The one lady that said the zippers were so loud that it woke up her baby; I'd say that comes from the baby having a parent that needs help. Ok, sorry to be so blunt. This tent is great, easy to set up, just a quick twist of the wrist and back in the bag. My little 8 month old is just outside on my deck playing in it right now. Anyway, well worth the $; much better than traveling around with a Pac-n-play.
not for short-tempered people ;-) August 12, 2010 Oksana Andreeva-Ehle (Great Falls, VA United States) I just spent about an hour trying to fold this bed back into it's pouch in preparation for our trip. I guess we're leaving without it, since it like the Rubik's cube: you can never get one side right. Even with the easy-breezy instruction video on kidco site, it is just impossible!
Very frustrating, and now forcing me into worrying about the trip and my baby's sleeping arrangement. I'll give it another try after cooling off, but jeez... Can it be ANY harder?!
The bed itself looks like a winner in comfort and "amenities" like the easy to inflate mattress, bug screens, etc, but only if you can fold it back and take it along. Otherwise - pointless.
