2 out of 5 stars Not too fun   August 26, 2010
Mom of 3
This is probably the most disappointing LeapFrong toy we have. It's not interactive at all. You push a number button and Scot the dog will say the number and have a little animation. The animation is hard to see because it's so pixelated. There is only 1 song on it and 1 or 2 tunes to the music button. For the phone button you are calling Scot. He answers says thanks for calling and hangs up. This was an attempt for interaction, but he says bye and so my kids stop talking. After doing this twice my 2 and 3 year old just stopped playing with this. My 15 month is still a little intrigued, but not too much since there are no lights or color. This also only counts from 0-9, so I think there are better toys out there to learn numbers. Also this is learning the number as the kids push it, so it's not counting per say. The phone shape and idea is all that is going for this toy.

5 out of 5 stars Great play cell phone!   August 17, 2010
Melissa Morgenthaler
My 13 month old loves this "play" cell phone and he like to push the buttons. It teaches him numbers and has cute sayings. It is also very durable as it has been thrown at a few play groups (which all the children seem to enjoy this fun little phone). Since he was always reaching for my cell & house phone I decided to get one of these so I could keep the teeth marks off my stuff! He likes to walk around and pretend he's talking to someone.....pretty cute!

4 out of 5 stars Good for the price   August 15, 2010

I have been searching for something in between a baby phone and a real phone and let me tell you there's not much out there. The animations that go with the numbers are pretty cute although I'm not sure that my son watches them all the way through. But he just got this for his 3rd birthday yesterday so he may be over zealous with the buttons right now. I believe there are only 3 songs. One is just music, one counts to ten and one is a short phone conversation. (Hello, how are you today etc.) As far as the fifteen fun activities I have no idea what they are talking about. The call button has a couple of different rings and you call Scout. He does say several different things. I'm not sure about the voicemails, I haven't heard anything that sounds like one but it may be because I only just got it. It's larger then I thought but still small enough to take in your bag. My son opened it right before we made an hour and 45 minute car trip and he played with it for at least the first 45 minutes which I think is great! He also played with it for about 15-20 minutes awhile after we got back home so he seems to like it pretty well. I wish it had a little game on it and that Scout waited a couple more seconds for you to respond to him.

3 out of 5 stars Good safe toy   July 19, 2010

It is a good safe toy and my 9mo likes it but gets bored quickly. It would be more entertaining if it had more features or sounds. It would be also nice if it had color screen.
